Membership Fees

As you all know, the recent economic downturn has proven challenging to many businesses, non-profit groups, government agencies etc, and Alberta Bobsleigh is no exception. We have been informed by the Alberta Government that our support grant will be cut by 18% this year, with no firm date as to when it will go back up. Also, Casino proceeds have gone down approximately 19%. The ABA Board of Directors have gone through the operating budget to identify areas of opportunity to reduce expenses while still maintaining a level of exceptional programming that our members have come to expect.

Your contributions to our programs in the way officiating, attending board meetings, helping during the driving school and more are greatly appreciated. Without your efforts, the success of our association would not be possible.

Looking for ideas

For the past two years the Alberta Bobsleigh Association has chosen not to host their annual golf tournament due to the overshadowing hardships involved in planning the event versus the final incomes.

ABA is currently looking for new and innovative ways to raise funds to help increase our programming for specific areas such as athlete recruitment, athlete development and the Alberta team. We’re encouraging everyone to send any and all ideas for fundraising methods to slide@albertabobsleigh.com

Remember there’s no such thing as a silly idea!!!

Casino volunteers needed
