Alberta Bobsleigh is seeking a Development Coordinator, who will be responsible for identifying, training and motivating competitive bobsleigh talent throughout the province.

Qualifications Required:
• The applicant should be a self motivated and an energetic individual who has a thorough understanding of the sport of bobsleigh.

• The ideal applicant should be currently on the national bobsleigh team or a recently retired athlete.

• Experience in physical training and/or bobsleigh push.

• Certification in Levels 1 & 2 Theory with the National Coaching Certification Program is an asset.

Expectations of the position include:
• Conduct talent identification camps within the province.
• Work closely in developing summer training programs with Assistant Development Coordinator
• Run the summer training programs.
• Submit a written report once a month to the Technical Director of the
Association detailing tasks in progress or completed.
• Work closely with the Technical Director of Alberta Bobsleigh on all levels of recruitment and development for the Association.

Type of Position:
Part Time - Seasonal Date: May 5 - October 4, 2008
Salary: $16.00 per hour Hours: 80 hours per month, some evenings and weekends
